Year Two

Needs to be: permeable, front porch, has to be hospitable, deal with BA/BSc issue, high face validity, amenable to freshmen.

What's the "there" "there"? -- In a single course address for the student: Why am I at SIAT? vs. letting them to put it together from bits and pieces from different courses.

Introductory courses to core idea of school -- 1 or 2 courses -- this is why you are here and what you might do when you get out.

Options:

maybe - Introduction to SIAT --> can you do an analysis of experience of technolgoy AND can you design an interactive technology system --> allows us to create a course to recruit to SIAT AND define what we mean by design AND show the kinds of things you might create in SIAT.

maybe - second year spring term integrated project courses (synthsis course) --> first crack of integrating all the bits from second year -- but can't sell this course outside SIAT

maybe - solid cross referencing between courses (default)
