One thing I would not like to lose sight of is the possibility of cross-linkage with other departments to create new areas of concentration-- SIAT-Contemporary Arts, SIAT-Business, SIAT-Kinesiology, SIAT-Cognitive Science, perhaps somesday SIAT-CS. We should find ways that our courses fulfill requirements for other majors in such a way that a minor can be done with minimal hassle and can deliver a package that interests students.

We have students all over UBC wanting the MAGIC specialization. Even the guy who won the best paper award in CHI this year is trying to add it (as if he needs it)
